SVEA DOES EARTH DAY

The Student Virginia Education Association went to Venable Elementary to celebrate Earth Day!  We made trees out of recycled bottles and old newspapers.  Kids also made an earth out of recycled materials to draw connections that the earth can be recycled.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks so much for coming out to the meeting!  Your help was greatly appreciated!  It certainly made crafting centerpieces easy!  So grateful for all that you guys do:)

We have a few more events before the semester ends: we still have a social and another general meeting!  And probably a lot more volunteer opportunities:)

EVERYTHING

HI AWESOME FRIENDS!

We will have our SOCIAL on February 7th at 8:00 in Cabel 430!  We will be making cards for kids in the Children's Hospital! So come crafty!!!

....Theres more.....theres always more!  SVEA will be going to Charlottesville Day school the morning of February 13th!  COLLECT SHOEBOXES!!! We need them to make Valentine's Day Card Mailboxes!!


.....I'm sorry....SO MUCH STUFF.  Just a heads up, our next meeting will be "Acing an Interview"  on either Wednesday Feb 20, or Thursday Feb 21st!  Theres a doodle poll circulating now! Fill it out please :)

GENERAL MEETING

Hello wonderful people!

The SVEA will have its FIRST MEETING OF 2013 on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23RD from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in Newcomb 177!  We will be going over the schedule for the semester and signing up for volunteer opportunities!  Our faculty advisor, Ellie Wilson, will share stories about student teaching and talk about the student teaching program in CAMBRIDGE!
